So I have these here knifes I want to get heat treated, you can see what they look like and what they would be for. Could you be so kind as to point me in a direction of a heat treater that would do a very good job but not make me sell a testical for the job:) What would you suggest I tell him I want the Rc to be, maybe around 57-58? Thanks for any help you can give. The steal is S7 by the way .250 thick.

TKS maybe??

OR

Paul Bos

You might be able to reach out to one of the makers here to do it for you at a very resonable rate...

Sweet looking blades ya got there bro!!

That little wharnecliff is sweet!

Nice looking knives-You've come this far,why not try it yourself. There is plenty of information here in the forum-lots and lots of knowledgable people.

57 Rc is a good overall hardness for S-7, at least according to the Crucible data sheets. That's what Paul Bos heat treats it to.

Thanks for the commments, I am just getting back into this and I dont have the room for a forge yet. I would love to do the work my self, but time=money, money=job, job=no time. I will have them hardend to 57 RC since that seems to be the consensus.

Could some one shoot me a link to paul or TKS if they have websites or maybe a phone number, I will try google also.
Thanks again,
Jake
