Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone here in the Rat Forum!
I've been lurking around here and there and eventually gave in to temptation and purchased my first two fixed blades: an O/D Izula and O/D RC-4 with orange G10. When they finally arrived, I couldn't put them down.
First thing I noticed was that they were smaller than I imagined they would be, but that's not a bad thing at all. Staring at these knives on a plasma tv which doubles as a computer monitor can skew your size estimations. I'm not a big guy, so they feel great in my hand, especially the RC-4 with the choil. My index finger naturally finds its way to it. It almost feels unnatural not to use it, but that's just me. I attached the molle clips to the kydex sheaths. Then came an ergonomics test which led to paper cutting, which led to cardboard cutting, which led to shaving arm hair, which led to a desire to cut more stuff, which led to thinking about buying more RAT knives! (I swear, anyone outside of the knife community would think we'd have some sort of psychological disorder the way we play with our knives like we do.) Then I spent the next hour or two or three making lanyards and wrapping the Izzy.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. I'm too lazy to transfer from a digicam at the moment.

Thanks to mbassoc2003 for instructions for the Izzy's wrap in this thread. I'm going to rewrap it since it is a bit sloppy and I didn't put any protective coating underneath the paracord like he did. And thanks to RAT Cutlery for making damn fine knives with great customer service.
Anyways, see you guys around. One post closer to being a part of the Rat Pack...
