....what do you all think?

I apologize for the poor pictures. I seem to have a hard time with light colored handles....

Steel: 1084/15n20

Blade length: 7"

Total length: 12 -1/4"

Blade thickness: 1/4" at ricasso

Handle material: ivory paper micarta

Some of you may remember a similar one I made about a year ago:

The main difference is that the new one has two mosaic pins, which I think add a lot. The ivory micarta looks kind of plain without them.

This one is a custom job, and so not for sale.

Thanks for looking, and, as always, all comments are welcome.

Really like the damascus blade a whole bunch. Handle shape looks great and the mosaic pins - though not usually my cupa tea - definitely work here.

Still not crazy about the choice of micarta for the handle but it aint my knife and the guy who wanted it this way will not doubt be VERY happy indeed.

I LOVE that!! I love, love, love mosaic pins. That looks like an incredible knife.

Very nice Phillip.
Beautiful damascus and grinds. I'm a sucker for well placed mosaic pins.
As Roger, I'm not crazy about micarta on this piece, however if the customers happy then we can all be happy.

Vert nice Phillip. I too am not crazy about Micarta, but the lines and grinds on this one are fantastic, and nice damascus as well!

I like ivory paper micarta too. You can't compare it to standard micarta. But I thought it was not produced any more... Your knife looks great, anyway. Maybe I'd have a damascus guard as well.

Excellent work, Phillip! I, too, am "a sucker for well placed mosaic pins." But I also echo Roger, Kevin, and John concerning the micarta.

That's quite a nice piece, Phillip!

A Patton blade with an ivory micarta handle just feels right. A huge Patton blade with a canvass micarta handle feels more right.

I'm always impressed by your work Phillip. Remarkable fit and finish. God I love FIGHTERS!
