Yet another question about Kydex sheaths

This question has been asked time and time again but I need to do it again.

I've searched the web and gotten a number Kydex sheath makers but I am wondering who is the "best" at making concealable sheaths.

The best so far, IMO, are the sheaths that come from Bob Dozier. The horizontal sheath is the smallest I've ever seen and the "inside the pant" sheathe is also great. The problem is, I contacted them about making me a couple of custom sheaths and they said they told me to call back in a couple months.

So.....asking for suggestions....again.

Thanks

I'm not sure I totally understand just how conceable you want rhem to be, but the best I've used as far as being small, smooth, and easy to fit on many parts of my body, I've found that David Brown of buybrownholsters.com makes the best. He uses the fold over method and smooths out all the edges so that they are as small as they can be, and don't irritate if they rub against your skin.

Here's a picture of one he did for my Rat Tail:

Note that the opening doesn't flare out obtrusivley like most kydex sheaths. Very quality stuff.

Hey Guys..

TKC..
Thank you very much..

first of all, what kind of knife is it that you want to carry concealed ??
Secondly, how do you want to carry it ??

There are many different ways...

IWB via slip sheath

Normark's sheaths are highly versatile and can be carried IWB or out, as well as at various angles. I've worn my F1 in his Concealex sheath IWB beneath suit jacket and sports jackets with perfect satisfaction.

I just got my chest sheath from www.survivalsheath.com for my Buck 119 yesterday. I have not had a chance to take a picture yet, but let me say this---

1)great workmanship;
2)knife fits securely;
3)reasonable price;
4)comes complete with straps.

I can's say enough about Rob's work and will be ordering again from him.

Normark....I have a little Bark River that came with a nice leather sheath but I'd also like to be able to carry it with a horizontal cross-draw.

Something like this Dozier sheath. A Tek-Lok would work but his design helps keep the sheath close to the body. Can't tell in the photo but the top of the belt loop is not attached. It's actually curls over. Kind of like a wide "hook".

I have a similarly designed sheath for my Gene Ingram knife but because of the placement of the belt loop, the sheath is much wider. Also, they could have cut of a lot more Kydex than they did.

I'm also curious about an "inside the pants" sheath but I've never worn one before so I don't know how comforable they are. I don't know know how to solve that problem. Hate to buy one and then not use it.

Also considering some other knives. I have a CRKT "Hammond ABC" that I see you make a sheath for.

Ah oh. I shouldn't have looked at your website. I'm finding a number of knives that could use a Kydex sheath, or at least a differnt style sheath that it came with.
