Hi folks -

All this shipping of GEC Forum Knives had me looking at what GEC was doing with the new pattern - So I had to buy this one in Cocobolo!

Great looking knife! The scales look great on this one, and the long pull is perfect with the short swedge on the spear main!

Those carvings are stellar too! I struggle to make a darned spoon!

Nice knife Andy, and, super backgrounds for your wood handled knife!
What sort of knives do you use to carve those great machines, and pistolas??

Hi guys -

I wish I had carved those - but sadly I have to admit I picket those up at a garage sale - there were a bunch of them in a cigar box and I thought that they would make nice props for slip joint pictures.

I am going to try to carve some pistols though - I thought that was a cool idea.

I would use a whittler, but I have seen the "carvin' jack" online, but it is spendy for what it is I think .

As to the knife, the Cocobolo 85 is noticeably slimmer than the BF knife

I guess the blade stock for the driver/cap-lifter is a good deal thicker than for the small pen in the coco version.

One of these in coco arrived today. Very nice... I only wish my coco was of the dark red variety. I'll have to keep my eye out for one of those.

Whatever the scales, that spear blade is spectacular.
