Yet another sprint run idea

I don't know how typical this is, but I tend to "save" my primary blade, and delegate routine cutting tasks to my keychain knife (a Jester) where possible.

I wonder how many people would be interested in a keychain knife, such as the Jester or Ladybug, with a blade made out of a carbon steel with superior edge retention (such as M2).

Spyderco doesn't do non-stainless steels. Even D-2 is still iffy.

Maybe you should petition for a sprint run in S30V or ZDP.

As it seems everyone is putting in their plugs for sprint runs how about this idea. The SS Cricket. It's my go almost everywhere EDC. I like everything about the updated design save one thing. The steel handle stratches too easily. What I wouldn't mind seeing is a Cricket with the (Almite?) coating on the original version. Perhaps a color other than black. I rather liked the color on the Navigators.

Any thoughts?

Seems to me that they try very hard to give their customers what they want. If there would be sufficient demand, I wouldn't be surprised if they would start offering carbon steels.

What is ZDP?
