It makes a mean sod cutter :D

I couldn't figure out why my back yard lawn was always so swampy and then I remembered the drain in the lawn ... or rather I thought I did -- I hadn't seen it in a few years. :footinmou

After 15 minutes of probing I found it under about 4" of sod and stinky mud. The AK cleared the whole mess up in a jiffy, although it lost a bit of its neat "hamon"-revealing vinegar etch due to the polishing effect of the mud/soil.

A little rinsing and some Ballistol and it's ready for the next job, or those mousepad sanding blocks I just glued up, today. :)

New HI fan; just got my 12" AK. Does cutting acidic food like tomatoes or limes etch the blade?

Yes, it can. You can pretty easily restore the mirror finish with some metal polish (MAAS, Flitz, etc) if you want, but I've come to like the etched look on my true "user" khuks. :-)
