I'm calling it the Totally Tactical Bagel Becker:

Last night I was using a kitchen counter to hold my whetstone while I touched up a few knife edges (the counter sits at the ideal height). This morning the 14 was still sitting on the counter and I couldn't resist. The 14 has become like a loyal old dog - it doesn't ask for much and is always ready to help out or head to the woods. Life is always better with a loyal old dog.

looks like a tasty totally tactical bagel. I love my 14 as well, I like the loyal old dog description, fits it perfectly.

lol cool thread. that bagel looks good. I have used my 14 to cut my daughter's pizza while we were out once. sure comes in handy

14s are the shiznit. If 14s are dogs, mine is a Doberman, lean, mean and lots of fang!

Are you left-handed? The cream cheese is on the ''wrong'' side of the blade LOL

Bazinga! Very observant. Yes, I'm a 'southpaw. That means I think with the right side of my brain :D

You lefties are an abomination and just do it for attention. You should stop that. ;)

idea- serrated bread 14. I'd buy one.
I want a bagel now too, although I'm more of a butter on my bagel guy

is a serrated BK11 close enough?

I aint much of a fan of serrations really, if given a choice I will choose a plain-edge over a combo edge.

Naaaah. I only got the idea to use the 14 as a cream cheese knife after slicing the bagel with our big old Wusthof serrated bread knife.

Haha pretty sure I have the exact same Wusthof bread knife. I'm also a leftie, power to the left! Ned Flanders was is a leftie, that HAS to count for something...

Lol, I'm mostly ambidextrous...what is this wrong side you speak of :p

I was born left handed...mom didn't like it, dad didn't give a sh_t....

I'm fairly ambidextrous too, but I cant pitch or write left-handed. Of course my penmanship is barely legible with my Right hand!

I was always pretty dextrous with my left, and spending a month and a half with my right arm strapped to my chest really helped me learn to use my left. Then I dislocated my right wrist, so I had to learn to shoot handguns left-handed since I couldn't shoot them rightie for about a year and a half.
