So I sharked an Unk' Bills Especiale. It looks way cool. I read some of the old threads about it.

What do y'all think? My intentions on this one are vague. I may use it as my EDC in my pocket as it is sheeple friendly and

...wait, wrong thread ;)

What do you think? Do you use yours?

Don't care for mine. The handle is just way, way, too big too be used one handed.
And I prefer the standard shaped kukri instead even though the UBE could be used better for a stab if need be.

No, don't use mine, actually IIRC the only thing it's ever cut has been air.

I really like the UBE. The handle is nice and large, so I get lots of grip surface. The upturned blade is not munk's style, but in fact, gives the blade an advantage if you ever had to fight a cougar or ? over the traditional khuks. The UBE cuts well. It is about the right size to do everything. Not too large to carry, just big enough to really start cutting.

One more thing; the upturned blade, well, I don't know why precisely, but the UBE just seems more eager to be in motion than some of the other blades. You may have to watch it.

I was gone from HI for six months or so. When I got back, I thought I'd grab a WWll real fast or? When I first discovered khuks, the UBE was almost last on the list. But there was a horn handled UBE on special and as I looked at it I was suddenly struck by humor and delight. It is a member of the Movie Model family and they all share the amusement.
But they could be very serious if need be.

I've come to really like the UBE. If I choke up on the bolster I can get a two handed grip on mine. Makes for some Powerfull swings. Handle is rather thick, which doesn't bother me at all, I have long hands. Single handed swings also work really well.

To me it feels like a cross between a Fighter and a chopper. Simaler usage to an 18" WWII. It's thrusting ability is pretty cool! Scabard is kind of bulky... would probably be a good canidate for a quick draw sheath. :) Definantly a user.
