What is it about this place that makes people decide not to leave well enough alone...!?! :D

I got this BK2 used about a month ago and have been tinkering with the sheath and after looking at the many mods by the others here, decided that leaving it stock was SO boring.

I already posted that I put the piece of aluminum on the back of the nylon (affixed with a piece of bike tubing), but what I've added:

The ring on the end is just there because... why not? I call it my "bull's ring" attachment for additional do-dads, should I choose to use it.

The pouch is a "camera case" I got at Lowe's for 10 bucks. It's actually pretty versatile!

Main pocket can hold an altoids can easily which is secured by elastic on the sides of the pocket and a flap with a robust buckle (I added a small piece of velcro because the inside is a soft felt-like lining that velco sticks to easily)

In addition to the main pouch, when the flap is unbuckled the whole pocket swings open to reveal basically a wallet with slots for thin items. I've got some #11 sterile surgical blades inserted, a couple matches and money for Vegas. There's also a loop of elastic on the side which I put a small ferro rod which fit perfectly. A couple velcro straps and a zip-tie for good measure and it's not going anywhere.

If you go to Lowe's website and look up "mobile phone cases", it's the AWP "Polyester Smart Phone Case". There are others on there but I got this in-store because it was the cheapest with the most stuff.
It also had a heavy duty metal clip for attaching it to your belt, but I didn't want that.
So...

I attached it to my BK11 sheath for an easy-on clip!
A set screw and a little o-ring as a washer and it's good to go:

Better than throwing it away. After all... It IS Earth Day. :p

Dude! They are so freakin' cool! Love it! That little pouch is the Don mega and recycling that clip makes the 11 sheath into a mini dangler! I'm super impressed. I love the ingenuity of your mods there brother. Top bloody notch orezona..

Love the bull ring! You could clip the 11 onto the ring and dangle your dangler! Although around these parts that might be uncouth. I'm not sure...

Nice mods man! It's fun doing stuff with Beckers knives ain't it?

Very cool man. Love the bull ring idea.

Thanks fellas!

I love this BK2 and the sheath is really actually very cool. It just needed... help.
I didn't even realize it had the little loop on the side to throw a ferro rod into until I got it home and really looked at it.

The pocket clip worked perfectly because I had attached paracord to the 11 sheath to attach it to my belt but I really didn't like how difficult it was to take on/off.
I had been contemplating getting a tek-lok or a Spyderco G-clip but this basically was a "free" fix.
I can also move it so could be a horizontal carry or add more holes, etc.

Ah, this takes me back. Absolutely love a well modded Becker. There just isn't anything quite like it. None of the other brands seem to have a following that as willingly makes such drastic changes to their knives as the Beckerheads. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Two words...
KICK ASS!!!
Great job man! Love the two for one. Great eye!
I've found lots if cool little camera cases and pouches and stuff in thrift store bins. .50 to $1, can't beat it. I'm going to keep my eye open for more now! Though I really love the one you have with the flapper and the slots and such.
Nice work! Thanks for sharing. I bet this gets copied. I wonder how the pouch would work on an 11/14 sheath? Hmm... I go to lowes daily for work, I'll report back!

..I bet this gets copied..

Yeps. Already tried to see if Lowes will ship one to Australia, but no. US only. Guess I'm just going to have to go and find my own case somewhere. Urgh! Using my own brain to come with original ideas! What a drag!

BeeKayNutCase - I'm sure you'll be able to get a similar one in Aus. LowePro trades over there the same as the UK and do a whole range of sizes of small camera cases that maybe suitable alternative. Or the USA brand Tamrac and others make similar sized cases in a range of sizes and likewise may trade down under too! Any camera shop should have some, secondhand shops usually have loads as people ditch point and shoot cameras as they have decent smartphones now. This thread jogged my memory that I have a small case too...deffo getting added to my Becker as soon as I find it.

Yes you are exactly right. I'm sure there are buttloads of different cases that would work. TBH I was just going to do the tried and tested ESEE pouch as they're easy to come by (PeeBay) and seem to have different mounting options. I'm just jealous that orezona has that lateral thinking type of mind! :D stoopid brain hamsters! Work harder!

I'm not smart, I'm just cheap and/or impatient, LOL!

It seems that in your regard bud that cheap + impatient = creative. Which are often my favorite kinds of mods because it usually involves some sort of lateral thinking. Keep it up bro..
