Hi, I’m a brand spanking ‘Newbie’..’Cruit ? [ha]. And most certainly need a little ‘direction.

Got a nice ‘Welcome Aboard’ from ‘Spark and her Parrot’ but can’t readily ‘find’ the ‘Reply’ functionality in order to thank them for their courtesy.

I believe I’ve reviewed ‘all’ of the ‘rules of the road’ but some of the ‘conventions’ adopted by your web masters ..’elude’ me.

I’m an ‘Internet Guy..[ IBM Senior Collaboration Specialist] so with a little help I’m sure I can ‘figure out how to be a good productive ‘BladeForums’ ‘citizen’.

I’m here because

..I’d like to sell or trade some of my knives

..Id like to peruse other enthusiast's evaluations of desirable blades..

I know, dumb as a post, but how do I ‘Reply’ to ‘Spark’ for his ‘All the best’….?

Welcome to Bladeforums.
In order to sell anything on here, you will need a paid subscription/membership, Gold or higher. The explanation of what's what is in the rules at the very top. At the top of this page, there is a button that says "Paid Subscription", that is where you need to go.

As far as replying to Spark, the forums contain a text editor with basic controls as found in most word processing software, below the text box, you will find options such as:
Edit Post
Go Advanced
Post Quick Reply
Reply with Quote
Etc.
Pick the one you need based on your desired task and fire away.
Or you can post a message on this post and he might surely see it.
Here is a link to the rules with the membership stuff located in the upper section. The links in my signature space should be of some help to you as well.

I believe the message to which you are unable to respond is the Welcome to BladeForums.com PM that goes out to new members. As a registered member, you cannot send PMs - in fact, I'm pretty sure that only the admin, and possibly the moderators, can send you PMs - as such, the option to reply to that message just isn't there at your membership level.
When you upgrade your membership so you can post ads, you'll also be able to send/receive PMs.
