Well.. Mine does. Was out on the hill a few days ago havin dinner with Mom and we got talkin knife. These guys popped out of various pockets, purses, vehicles and jewlery boxes to be held so I snapped some pics. I am going to have to set up the tripod and use mom's good camera sometime on the little Case trapper and the Volkswagen damascus necker.. They really are nice looking.

This case was handled in arizona I think.. Looks great. Deserves good pics. I am a rock person, too, and that turquois is very awesome. Great color and vein. I should go look at the turquois map and see what its origin is.

What kind of pocket knives does your mom like?

(Edit: removed sand.)

Some engraved silver jewlery knives.. Cool little guys.. Made in japan in the 20s as far as mom could figure.

And the little Volkswagen spring damascus necker. Those may be Ivory handles.. Or they are the cleanest bone I have ever seen. The same guy that made the setting for the moonstone face made this knife. From Kentucky maybe? Came from a gun show/knife show/flea market thing.

Please keep the knives traditional. Thanks for the edit.

By the way, some nice little knives your mom has!

Nice knives their Andre  I particularly like the Damascus neck knife and the small engraved Japanese knives :)

Thanks for sharing Andre! I like those scrolled pieces, particularly the square one with the mean little clip blade. The scissors and awl combo looks super useful as well.

It's not a laughing matter. Doesn't belong.

This was unnecessary and unwelcoming.

Seems to have skipped a generation in my case.
Mother usually carried a small knife in her purse. The specific knife she carried changed over the years. I remember both a small pen knife and later a Vic Classic.
My wife uses her teeth if I'm not around.
My daughter carries the small size tinker.

I bought my mom a Vic Classic, to replace the cheap knockoff I saw her using. She really likes the scissors.

Thanks guys. Mom likes small stuff because its cute, and she's short.
She's got a rubbermaid tote full of all kinds of knives. Her and my step dad were into collecting knives. I have now become the curator of the collection, so I will try and post pics of some of the neat stuff they accumulated. Neatness was a priority for mom, and Tim had a really unique eye for what he liked too, so.. But he leaned toward normal sized knives more than the small ones.

Heres a pic of the work knife that she likes. Has 3 of them right now, this one is in for its first sharpening already.. Case has been leaving big burrs that die immediately on some knives I have gotten recently.

Its the minivan of the group.. But it gets you there, and you dont care too much about the rock dings, backroads dust and dog hair that shows up from time to time..
