I was finally fortunate enough to find a popular online vendor with a fresh batch of Yojimbo 2's in stock. So I immediately ordered one for myself. I have been craving this knife for over a year but could never find it in stock anywhere. Until yesterday that is.

Everything about it appeals to me : the .156" thick Wharncliffe blade of S30V , Compression Lock and made in Golden , CO USA. I'm drooling as I type this.

Anyway , just sharing my joy of the sick new Spyderco that I am anxiously waiting to arrive !!! It should be here in @ 28 hours :)

They are cool little knives I gotta say, I owned about 3 of them, I always got lucky and found them in stock at my favorite online knife store, But I would get bored with them and sell them off, and now just like the para 2 you can't find them anywhere, I work around a lot of people from japan that dont know any english, It was cool though I would whip the knife out and say yojimbo in my best japanese voice and about 5 of them would go ooohhhhh yyyyyyyoooooooooojjjjjjjiiiiiiimmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbooooooo aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!! No joke it was too funny

Haha. Even the name "Yojimbo" is cool !!!

Two of the three dealers that had the Yo2 in stock are already sold out. I'm willing to bet that the third dealer will be sold out by lunch today.

Glad I ordered mine when I did !

Congrats on picking one up... it's a great package.
FYI, Yojimbo is a classic Akira Kurosawa flick ;)

I could never find this in stock. I was ordering an all black Tenacious for a friend of mine and saw that the Yojimbo2 was in stock and jumped on it. I was trying to slow down on my knife purchases but I couldn't resist this one because it's been hard to find.

Does anyone know what Yojimbo means in Japanese? I saw the definition before somewhere but I can't remember.

Yes Yojimbo means "bodyguard". I'm entranced by the thick blade stock and the sharp intense angle of the point. It's like a sword for my pocket.

Thanks for the thread. I've been patiently waiting for these to come back into stock, and was able to snatch one last night when I saw this thread.
