Just got my Yojimbo 2 yesterday and noticed the blade is off center and there is a little play.

I found a youtube vid on centering a Military, but i think pivot area is different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU797Pkmq1Q .
Would it be safe to try this method, or is there another way? Or just send it to Spyderco? I would love to fix it myself because I am loving this knife.

Thanks guys!

its almost touching the G10, I can see a tiny bit of light shinning through.

There are quite a bit of threads on how to center a blade, do a search and see what pops up. It is a common thing with most production knives.

Make sure that you disengage the lock before turning the pivot screw.

hmm there are pivot screws on both sides of the g10, and they are both very tight. Is there a specific side i should be tightening?

Both, you will need 2 torx drivers.
You only need one driver. The pivot pin is pressed into the lock side liner and has a flat spot, it should not spin on you. Really torque down both sides to get the blade play out. Dont strip out that screw heads though.

Not so with the pivot bushing. The bushing has the "D" milling but the pivot screws do not. I found that I only needed one for my Para 2, however.

I actually got the blade centered by adjusting the screws on the both side of the handles, but there still is a tiny bit of play side to side. The pivot screws are already REALLY tight, so I will not mess with those.

Thanks for the help guys!

Thanks for posting a link to the vid by the way. Great idea, I never thought of that.
