Lum Tanto was HAP40 not M4.If the Lum Tanto run couldn't pull me into this series, I don't think this will either, but this is really tempting. I've always wanted to try out the ol' jimbo but I am determined to step away from collecting and that's final. Plus, I'm holding out for the Paysan, and a Challenor...and a Snecx...and a...ah it's hopeless

I think that's the first one that actually looks good in the Jade G-10. Somehow the others just looked soulless to me.
Yes I believe so, thus far. It's because the other exclusives were Golden models and theum Tanto was a Seki model.Good point, my bad
Was that the only BHQ jade G-10 exclusive without M4?
Not at all, M4 is very rust prone. Which is funny why the Lum had HAP40 which is rust resistant.I love the scales. I know M4 is a super steel. Is it rust resistant?
Lol

Ah you are right, I am confusing HAP40 with H1. Scratch what I said, but everyone often talks about M4 rusting and patinaing.I thought Hap40 is also very rust prone but its a laminated blade. So the edge still rusts easily, similar to M4 does (a little less than simple carbon like 1095 but not much better), but the sides get the benefit of the other steel (can't remember what that is and too lazy to google right now).
Oh well, I'll pass.No M4 is NOT stainless.
