Hehe. Well, I finally ordered a yojimbo 2. It was delivered to the u.s. a couple of days ago but I won't be home until Wednesday and I'm completely frothing for this knife! I overlooked this one for a long time and went with the pm2 instead. Later I got a Millie and preferred that to the pm2 so I ended up selling off my paramilitary. Now I kind of miss having something nice in that size range so I'm giving the yojimbo a try. One of the reasons I sold the pm2 was the design seemed a bit redundant when I preferred the Millie anyway. The yojimbo looks like a good way to get something in that size with the compression lock but with a design that is very different from the pm2/Millie. Whatever, I'm rambling. I was just hoping to start a little discussion about this knife as an edc blade. Something to keep my mind occupied for the next couple of days.

I edc'd it for a long time. One of my coworkers saw it and begged me to help him get one. Out of all the knives I have, I get the most comments on the YO2.

I am a big fan of Janich and his designs. The wharncliff blade bites hard and I got mine as sharp as a razor. Since the blade is deceptively heavy it opens lightning fast.

You will probably have to adjust your grip slightly or the compression lock will pinch you a bit. That just means you will have to play with it to get accustomed...rubber arm. Have fun man!

Its an awesome design from Janich. Good ergos. Handle has a bit getting used to, its a bit unconventional
I prefer my military and manix better. I know people love the compression lock but its prob my least favorite. Its still a very opposing knife shape, sharp as hell , and great build quality. It stays in the safe with collection. .

I dig mine......It gets EDC'd quite a bit and is in the rotation of my Manix 2, SB Stretch and PM2 these days. In fact, I am holding it as I type this.

But Wednesday is soooooooo far off. I'd be freaking out. I mean, what if it gets lost in shipping?

Oh, and as an EDC blade, I personally feel that fits that part really well. I am a huge fan of the wharncliffe. BTW, the knife is bigger than it looks.....I am 6'5" ;)

Lol...D**K! :D What's funny is I know it got delivered to my dads house but no one is there, so now I get to wonder if it's still sitting there by the door for three days!! Maybe a hobo took it! Maybe a bunch army ants marched off with it! Coyote ate it!! Yes my friend, Wednesday is a long way out! ;)

I used to be in a band and ordered a Music Man bass from Musicians Friend. I stayed home to sign for it.....UPS brought eight of them. I signed for them and called Musicians Friend and they had no record that more than one was sent. :D The customer service manager was so surprised by my honesty, they let me keep one. I think the bass was $1200.

I'm a huge fan of the wharncliff blade shape; it does everything really well!

Its my EDC. The Manix2 FFG is as well, but the YO2 gets way more time. I love the Blade design and the Lock, the handle has a "different" feel to it and I admit I like the handle on the Manix2 a "little" bit more, But the YO2 still reigns supreme!.

I also am really waiting for the Ronin2 to be released...
