Yojimbo 2 question

I really love my delica. My edc is a mnandi (I work in an office and wear a suit) but outside of work I always fall back on the delica.

I was looking for something upgrated and maybe a bit larger so I thought about the paramilitary 2. At that point I came across the yojimbo 2. I read that it wasn't the best edc since it was made for defense. However I thought a wharncliffe blade would make it more utilitarian, like a sebenza with a insingo blade vs drop point.

Thoughts?

Thank You

The Yojimbo 2 is fantastic and I like it better than the PM2

The combination of Wharncliffe and hollow grind makes a very good EDC

It is only for food prep that the Yojimbo 2 will not very convenient . You can cut an apple without problems but that is be about it ;)

For rope, zip tie , cardboards , etc. I prefer the Yojimbo 2 over the PM2

The Yojimbo 2 was my first Spyderco, it was too cool to pass on.

Even though the hollow grind gives it a very thin edge, IMO it's not a great EDC all-rounder because the spine is quite thick, so it may not glide though slices like thinner blades. The tip is also extremely fine, and I expect, a bit fragile.

At this point I am going to hold off on buying a new knife. I am going to carry my large sebenza insingo. I have had it for a few years and for whatever reason never carried it. It look to be around the size and weight of the yojimbo.

I carried a delica for 6 months. Loved it. Also carried a PM2, sorta loved it. Just got an endela and it's the best of both of those 2 knives in one and instantly kicked the other 2 out of my pocket. Design of the delica, same size as the PM2. Would highly recommend an endela. It's also a very useful blade shape, not wharncliff but not super curved up in the front. Just enough belly to be useful and still flat enough to be useful, making the tip easy to use while still holding the knife at a good angle, to me this blade shapes more like the insigno than a full wharncliff. If you like your delica I'd at least hold and endela, it's the same vibe but feels like a real knife not a delicate knife. But is still thin and slicey and easy to pocket. And agree with uxo2, I'd recommend k390. Great stuff
