So after looking and looking and just finding nothing from spyderco i really like or felt like was worth it i kind of like the yojimbo 2. I cant find a great deal on this knife so could people who own it post some pictures comparing it to some other commen blades because im worried about the size of it.

The Spyderco Yojimbo 2 is a great little knife that cuts extremely blade with its small (3.1") thick (0.156") blade. Can be had for about $100 new. Here are some pictures of it next no the Domino.

I havent really been a spyderco fan since i started because of some of the like cultist that followed it and they just put a bad taste ya know? Im trying to not hold it against the company and find a model (thats actually obtainable and in stock) that i like. Cant find a para 2 anywhere i might even get a milli but the satin plain edge seems to be gone everywhere too.

I watched some videos of the yojimbo 2 and it seems like most of the people mention the edge being chipped out the box.

Im considering this one too.. not so sure about it though. I'm not so fond of spyderco either.

There's a certain knife shop that has Yo2s for just over $100 shipped, but I'm not sure Howe you'll find this Knife Shop. Howe this Knife Shop sells them so cheap is a mystery to me as well.

Did you accidentally end up in the forum somehow?

Consider the source. If someone did somthing foolish with a knife, they aren't likely to admit it for the world to see. It's much easier to blame the manufacturer. I highly doubt a chipped edge would be allowed to leave Golden during the QC process. Fom Seki City or Itally, maybe but from Golden I really doubt it, though anything is possible.

My Yo2 was perfect out of the box. So much so that I stabbed my hand accidentally and didn't even feel it until I saw the red. :foot:

I didn't end up here accidentally I'm trying to change my opinion on them.

Buy one. ;) lots of great models to try. Someone once said that the knives must have been designed in the dark. The only thing I know is that form follows function and the knives are designed to cut well, and that they do.

What makes it really hard for me the models I have interest in are hard to find. I don't like back locks either and that's what spyderco seems to do a lot of.

The Para 2 would be a great choice, but a Yojimbo is OK as well. Those people who said their blade was "chipped" out of the box on a new knife must have bought from a used or lesser dealer. Mine was perfect when it arrived, completely flawless. The "cult like following" thing is a result of quality, value, design & price. You won't find a better knife for the money in my estimation. If you're not 100% sure about the Yojimbo and have already handled one, don't spend your money and wait for a Para 2.

I just found one in the exchange, and am silly excited to get it lol

Give a spyderco a try,I didn't obsess with them till I owned one, now they are pretty much all I carry

i love all my spyderco and byrd knives, that yojimbo is a great looking knife. I may pick one up, thanks for the great comparison photos.

Everytime i find para 2 in stock its not what i want... blk dlc one for 122. I hate dlc coated blades.

I wasn't sure about Spyderco at first either. Then I bought a Delica 4 off a friend at work. Then I wanted to get a good Benchmade collection going, and now I have a Dragonfly, Pacific Salt, brown PM 2, and an Endura 4. Once you try them they seem to multiply. The Benchmade collection is still kinda sparse.:D

I usually don't like lock backs either, but Spyderco's is just different. Between the David Boyd dent, choil, and the use of washers for free motion, I can open and close my Enduras and Native with one hand easily.

Unfortunately the OP had no intention of buying any Spyderco knife. He was simply here to troll with multiple accounts. He has a history of doing this over and over again. He was allowed back in and was given a fair chance to stop, but it continued and so did the troll accounts.
