I am honestly having trouble thinking of something to say about this piece, I'll just let the pictures say it for me.

Dylan-

I've had the pleasure of handling 4 such pieces by Yoshindo now...everyone has been a most humbling experience.

The notion of these being simple is turned on end when you realize that few smiths in the WORLD, could replicate them. So yes, these are at the very top of understated/simple elegance.

I DREAM that someday I will be able to approach this!!!

Absolutely stunning. A work of art from a true master. Is it any wonder people have been collecting these things for hundreds of years. Makes you wonder if some of the old swords you see around ever looked this alive.

That's what it's all about. Those recent double edged blades by Yoshindo, in particular, are superb. If I weren't spending ridiculously on my house and car, I would own one.

Amazing !

And I think that severtecher ought to do a "pass-around" with the folks who've posted in this thread. . .so that "we" can see just how bad-asss his "new" blade is. :p ;) :D

very nice, those first few pictures looked like wisps of ghosts on the blade!

You misunderstood, I just got dibs on it . The ship with the funds has yet to come in so I won't really be mad if one of you guys beat me to it. :grumpy:

I been looking at these pictures for about an hour, and the only sounds that come out are some weird gurgling noises. That is some kind of AWESOME!

It's easy, he obviously let something spill accidentally on the blade, maybe a Pepsi... :)

Dylan, I believe I had posted a closeup of one of these in my prior Name That Knife thread. I guess you were't paying attention Mr. :)

In all seriousness, of course I love his knives, but I cannot afford even his smaller ones. :(

Ok, I will be TheBadGuy here and say this doesn't do it for me  I guess I am lucky here as its better to not like the things you can't afford :D

The thing is astounding.

After continuous and careful examination of that pic, I have come to the conclusion that that blade is actually ALIVE! Simply astounding! Wow!
