sell my Hartsfield knives!!!
No regrets.
Years ago, I bopped in here with my doubts about INFI steel. I bought a Busse knife and then a few more. I don't have to go on.
I wish I kept one Hartsfield because Phill was a dear friend but that's how it went.
After all these years, Busse is my No.1 fixed blade.
Can anyone relate?

As far as bruiser/all-purpose knives, Busse has got their hooks firmly embedded. I do have a couple smaller fixed blades for when I need something with a little more...finesse. My Phil Wilson comes to mind. S110v and ground thin, in sheer cutting ability its at the top of the heap. Ain't too bad on the eyes either.:D

Yep, in the last 4-5 months I have sold my whole knife collection and started fresh Busse is my fixed blade of choice, Hinderer and victorinox for folders, gransfors bruks and RMJ for axe/tomahawk needs. I have come to appreciate a quality tool

That's a nice knife by Mr. Wilson. Thanks for the pic.
I have a Dozier that I really like too and a few other fixed blades that are keepers.
When I got my first Busse knife, I never worried about using it, like other knives I had. Busse, just says, use me.

Yes I can and have made some trades that I know the individual's were  but :D.

No regrets.

Totally agreed Rolf--my tglb is my favorite fixed and the one a reach for first. I still have a BK 16 and 14... solid knives, but infi take a ridiculous beating and begs for more. That, and it sharpens up incredibly well, and to quite a fine slicing edge... considerably better since I stripped it.

You're a good man, Rolf.

I admire your taste in friends and fine blades. Phill Hartsfield was driven to build the best hard-use combat knives he could make, and Jerry Busse has simply stepped that obsession up to another order of magnitude--the two shared a common vision IMHO. Not hard to understand your devotion to both.

I certainly can relate!!

Wait...... There's other knife makers out there!?

Aside from my David Wesner knives. And a few Bill Siegle...

They are all dear to me.

Thank you, Will. Thank you, Gentlemen.
Thanks for the pic, Andy.
You all make Bladeforums a great place to hang out.

Well, now you could just get off your ridiculous chisel ground obsession problem ....:D

Is it bad that I often stalk your CRK collection (pics)? :D

You have some serious good tastes in blades.

I'm still waiting for the Busse that can unseat my Gene Ingrams in my field bag. I like the look of that Phil Wilson...looks like a killer useful blade.

It was all over for me once I got my claws on this: :grumpy:

The only other fixed blades I'm grabbing up are Survive! Knives, cause I LOVE 3V!!! :D
