You can still find a good deal at a yard sale.

I stopped at a local yard sale and for $2 bought a gorgeous Pearl handled 2 bladed E. Weck pen from NY.

The blades have a little patina and some discoloration, but are 100% full and walk and talk like an autioneer at a 10 K run.

No crack or chips in the pear, bail still intact, who says there's no Santa Clause?

Well.....I just discovered that there are good deals on the internet, too.....and outside of Flea Bay.

I stumbled across an antique dealers web site....and pulled up a page of knives for sale. At first it was the usual....used dotted Case knives for $150 each, a plastic handled scout knife in tough shape for $90.....but then.....

Well, to make a long story short, I ended up with four nice old "sunfish" or "elephant toe nail" pattern knives.....two Cattaraugus (one about mint, the other with some problems)....one NAPANOCH in beautiful condition.....and....one jumbo swell center PLATTS....its all there but the blades and bolsters are pitted and one handle has a visible crack (it was the cheaest of the bunch anyway).

I am still waiting for these to arrive, but the web site had good photos of each knife, so I hope that the actual knives will be in the condition that I described....
