Stick with it like a frog in a crack in the wall. The frog is about four feet up off the ground and heading for the porch light, for bugs I imagine when night falls. I painted the old homestead this summer so this is just showing off. The paint: Gettysburg Gray. The knife: 845TNS Vantage (awaiting purchase of orange dye).

Nice frog! For my money the Vantage Force select is hard to beat. Smooth action and beefy blade. Can't wait to see your dye job.

I live in a wooded sleepy hollow with a spring so lots of varmints and such on the ready line to pose for cutlery glamour shots. I just gotta purchase the dye and do it. I am enthusiastic.
So how were the frog legs?:D
Tasted like chicken! I felt kinda like a bully as I placed the blade close to the frog to get them both into the same focal plane it cringed as if to brace for an assault. However, no frogs were harmed in the making of this thread. There is an outside bathroom that gets seldom visits. I reached for the roll of kybo tape and underneath it, in the shallow basket, was a pretty good-sized green frog lookin at me. Never a dull moment here.

Your going to dye the handles not merely get new orange ones... So, thats were Kermit hides out. Good photos. DM

Cool peeper oregon! oh yeah, nice knife too, can't wait to see it after the dye job
I like Orange knives, hard to mis place and all...

Much as I like the knife, the frog is awesome. We won't see much in the way of frogs or toads here till the next rain. Lots of lizards, though.

Desert Dave: Some knives you can dye and some you can't:

Sit: Every time I pick up this sand-colored folder I appreciate its existing color more. Developing mangler anxiety..

Great pix man!
What kind of tree frog is that?
Can I have your Buck folder?

oregon is that a new type of blade finish Buck is using? I seen one fixed blade the other day at a big box store that had the same finish. I never seen one like it before.

Thats a good question that I dont remember ever gettin an answer to. I have a number of blades with that finish. Mostly 420hc but some 154cm.

I havent bought a Buck in sometime but hadnt noticed that finish until the other day and then here. I'm curious.

It's a stonewash finish. It's actually quite nice and helps to hide small scratches you may put on the blade through use. The original Vantage Pro has a very light stonewash finish, not as heavy as the stonewash on the Vantage Force series.
