What can I say? Check out the scrim on this knife that my son and I made. The scrim is by a good friend of mine who is a fabulous artist, who mostly does watercolor and oil paintings. Boy howdy, can he scrimshaw or what? His name is Manuel S. Franco and he's been a professional artist for over 20 years.
If you look real close on the picture at the wolf's eyes you can see the orange-yellow coloring that he put in the eyes. The picture does not do the scrim justice but it does show the fantastic artistic ability that this gentleman has. Here's a link to Manuel's webpage that you might want to check out after you look at the wolf. www.msfranco.com You will see some of the most fabulous artwork that you've ever seen. I just wanted to share this great scrim with y'all. My son and I are very proud to have this beautiful artwork on a knife that we built. If any of y'all are going to be at the Central Texas Knife Show in Austin on August 4, 5, and 6th stop by the table and take a look at this.

Great stuff, Chris. An extremely nice, clean looking knife and the scrim is truly beautiful. What type of material is the handle made of? That really looks like a first-rate piece...you and your son should be very proud!

Very nicely done. The scrim shows a lot of depth and contour - makes you feel as though you could nearly reach over and pet the wolf. I too am curious what you used for a handle material - is that some kind of bone?

Hey Christman, Is that your doings? This is Jerrod, IZZYKNIFE'S buddy from Wichita. Nice stuff man. Keep up the work. Jerrod
