Heres just a quick note on the knife.
Yes this knife does come equipped with a full Custom Springfield 1911 that is also fully engraved.
The knife and gun are presented by Investment Arms and it is called the Armed Citizen. This is a Huge project for us and has the full sanction and backing from the NRA.
I was contacted over a year ago to design a knife that would compliment the 1911 pistol design. It had to reflect the design, the squareness, the strength and the overall feel of the gun. It had to have a blade the average citizen could recognize and feel comfortable with. No high tech or tricked out designs. Just a solid Go Ahead knife, based on performance, just like the gun.
Therefore you will see elements of several of my designs in both the blade and the handle CQC-7, Specwar, Emerson Combat Bowie, and various other elements.
The Design was approved at this years SHOT Show. The design was debuted at this years NRA Show and caused quite a stir.
I was told by inside sources that Emerson was chosen because There is no other Knifemaker or Knife Company that truly epitomized the ideals of the American Armed Citizen in the way that Ernest Emerson does.
I am extremely proud of that sentiment and I am honored to work with both Investment Arms and the NRA on this project.
We will have one prototype for show at the Blade Show in Atlanta.
