A customer came in the other day and showed us this picture. He works in a lab and is very good at sharpening knives. Well he showed us how good. The picture is of a HALO, he sharpened, actually shaving a single strand of hair only .0025" thick!

What kind of steel is the typical HALO again? And what kind of sharpeners does he use?

The HALO blade is CM-154, its American made ATS-34.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but that used to be my test for sharpness when I was really a fanatic about it.

Not too hard to do, just gotta be really precise and have a very polished edge.
