And it's been less than a week since joining!

My first goal is to aquire all of the traditional Buck lock blades, 110, 112 500, 55, 501, 503, 505. Yeah, I know, that shouldn't take long.

There's a Gander Mtn 5 minutes from my office. Good thing this is the only one they had in stock:

That list will grow, change, and will grow again. Before ya know it you'll need to buy a handkerchief just to wipe the drool created by the collections of these guys. Welcome to the best traditional subforum out there.

The moment you decide to collect any knife by type, pattern, size, etc. ... you are a KnifeNut! Traditional KnifeNuts tend to remain true to their compulsion to acquire more folders than they could use in two lifetimes. Self denial only exacerbates the syndrome. Welcome to a great place to feed your addiction.

james , I am also hooked on Buck lockbacks.
Always nice to meet someone with the same affliction, um I mean hobby.

Another one bites the dust! :D

You picked a good brand to start with - after you get the Buck's you can buy all the Case lock-backs, then start looking for Old Timer, Uncle Henry, Frontier, etc., etc.!!

Do not forget that Buck has a custom knife shop that allows you to customize the Buck 110. That should allow you to keep on collecting after you aquire the current production models.

Welcome aboard.

Oh you have no idea my friend.

This forum can be quite harmful to your checkbook for sure. I'd like to see a lineup pic once you've acquired them all. Be a nice family photo.

Good stuff!

** And I forgot to add Welcome to the forum. Great bunch of folks here.

Take a look at the Stars and Stripes 110. Nicely done, even if you aren't necessarily into things with US flag color schemes. And if you are, even better. Don't forget to try out some of the Buck 300 series (30x are made in USA, 37x and 38x are made in other countries). I find the Buck 303 and 301 to be some of the best overall pocket knives period.

And if you're into lockback traditionals, then you can try Case Copperlock and Mini Copperlock knives, and then there are the Great Eastern Cutlery lockbacks to explore. So yes, we are a bad influence. Go spend your money.
