I've had the itch for must having a knife all my life since I was about 3 years old (still have the scars to prove it) and one day, came across this forum and this is where I don't like you guys: it's like Christmas every day with sharp pointy objects! :p

Everywhere I turn, there are beautiful knives everywhere and I find myself sitting here for a few hours a day looking at all of them...

So fair is fair, I'll join in and have some fun! Some crappy (and now broken) knives, some great!

Anvil and a hammer huh? You're closer to being a bladesmith than I am:D.

I notice a lot of tactical knives on the cheaper range. Wait til you grow out of that and go into $400-$500 knives. Then there are the $500+ "art" knives and custom made stuff. I would recommend Benchmade for more tactical stuff, ZT for hard use tactical, and Spyderco for "I need something that cuts" kind of knives.

Oh I do plan on getting knives such as Busse knives or such. I'm currently saving money for several European trips so that's priority over pricey knives. Way I see it, if I become a bladesmith, I can make any sort of knives I want at any time I want.

Plus, "cheaper" doesn't always mean lower quality. ;)
