I thought I had my knife short-list all worked out.
Couple benchmades, a few emersons, and eventually a CRK if I can afford to drop that sort of coin at the time and 1, (count it), one spyderco: Stretch.

After looking through the picture thread, reading topics on how everyone loves their new knife, the Spyderco section of my short-list is growing continuously.

Stretch VG10
Endura FFG ZDP
Caly 3.5
Chokwe
Sage 1
A serrated hawkbill model that I haven't decided on yet

The knife nut loves it but my wallet hates it.

got news for ya, your short list is gonna change too and frequently, probably growing in cost.

Not too shabby, but I've bought just under $2000 worth last month alone.

yeah I think I'm at $700 just this week alone, thats not every week by any means and I do sell stuff periodically but this stuff gets to be big bucks.

So far I've been very fortunate. The only new Spyderco I liked was the Techno. I tried it and hated it for a lefty.

All the rest I don't like so I have a reprieve until next year. I'm hopeful, but a part of me can't help but feel I'll be disappointed. The prices are getting higher and the colab's fail me as a picky lefty.

That said I do have an Orange PM2 on the way, in spite of the fact I don't care for the PM2. The price was right and the orange is beautiful so it will be a collector piece with my Dodo.

Oh i'm well aware of this. It has changed many times. I thought I knew what I liked and what I didn't. Unfortunately there were some knives from the past that I had to rule out due to budget issues on my part. Now that work has picked up, my budget is better than what it used to be and those items fade back into view.

I've found that I dislike the looks of the saber grind on my white endura. Hence the want for a FFG. The white endura may make its way over to the trade forum later, we'll see. I've found that I don't like the looks of the digicam handles on my PM2 so thats being gifted to my better half. May or may not get another PM2 in the future. But I plan to handle these at a local shop and see what sticks.

Wait till you start to become excited over upcoming releases, and imagining they release your preferred variations. "Knife hunting" generally is fun but myself being late to the "sprint party", it really sucks that I have to go the extra mile on some that I covet. I just started seriously collecting less than a year ago, and Spyderco got to me early. I am also fond of other brands, but Spydies multiply fast and though reasonably priced they add up and affects my knife budget. I am constantly scheming though! haha! Spyderco makes great knives and in the end, that's why I do what I do.

I was hopeing, actually thought I was done buying knives....until I viewed that video. That flipper looks incredible. Has it been asked before on delivery of them?

Muahahahaha!

Supposed to be out this year I believe. Not sure exactly when but I would guess soon.

The Sprint Run concept is a brilliant idea. On the business end, you get to sell premium versions of existing designs, minimizing development costs. On the consumer end, it provides variations of our favorite models. I spend hours researching the various iterations available to find the right one.

Oh, you need to add a UKPK. This is a practical little EDC folder.

Especially if you can get one of the S30V Full Flat Grind versions. Incredible. So glad Spyderco made a knife for a knifenut trapped in the UK, if it wasn't for them I would be stuck with only SAKs and my Case Slippies (nice knives, but not as useful for some of what I have to do).
