So a few weeks back I asked for some advice on which emerson should be my first. I got a lot of feed back(thanks by the way). I decided to go with the cqc7. It arrived today. Here is where you guys could of warned me. You could have told me that getting an emerson, would be INSTANT ADDITION:D
I cant even enjoy this because I'm trying to figure out what knives I'm going to sell off to buy more.
Seriously though I love it: the wave, the aggressive g10,and the badassness in general. Gentleman Jim is next on the list. Great knife!

Congrats on your first Emerson! I've been in your position before trying to see what knives I can sell or trade for more Emersons. Now I only have one non-Emerson. The Gentleman Jim will be a great addition to your growing collection. Make sure you check out a Commander eventually as well.

It was love at first wave:D
Eventually I want emerson and crk exclusively in my collection. I don't know if the emerson company reads this forum a lot but they just got an instant fan with me. The cqc7 was a foot to test the waters. A conservative first emerson. Now I want to get a serious emerson. I'm stoked. It was a pleasant find in the mailbox after a 12 hour day on the job.

I'm eventually going to get an A-100, Mini Roadhouse, and...I better stop! ;) I have a CQC-7A, and a Micro Commander.

I agree with you man. I love my first emerson. It feels like it is built to take on any condition. My goal is to get a frame lock model. The liner lock does feel strong though!

I have been off the forums for a few years and just recently made my way back. Picked up a cqc7b as my first knife in years (first Emerson ever). I am really impressed to say the least. While waiting for it to arrive I was reading the post with lots of fit and finish complaints and started to wonder if I made a mistake but gotta say when it arrived I felt relieved cause it seems flawless! I put it side by side with my military spydie and the 7 is way more beefy
