... I still have a lot to learn. Just wanted to say thanks.

I had some knives that I couldnt put an edge on. I thought they were inferior steel. They had bent over burrs. You guys showed me the errors of my ways. Now, people want me to sharpen their cutlery.

Same here. I used to think that there was some kind of mystery to sharpening but with the sharpening FAQ and 10 dollars of sandpaper from the auto parts store I've been able to get to shaving sharp for the first time in my life. People haven't asked me to sharpen their knives, but my wife has been so impressed with how nice it is to have sharp knives that she *offers* my services to other people!
