You guys NEED to see this thread awesome and CHEAP custom sword by Don Hanson.

This one's for sale by the very-well known knifemaker Don Hanson. He's selling some of his older knives and this, his only sword made, to assist a lady who needs financial support. If I had the $$$, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, chances are you could resell this for twice his price just by posting it on ebay.

IMO, it's one HECK Of an investment, the only sword that Don Hanson III ever made! No one has picked it up, so I thought I would let the sword fans know about it.

It's an interesting comment upon the sword and knife worlds I guess. I went and perused your site, absolutely gorgeous work. :thumbup: The sword would be a real niche market piece though I'm afraid. Keeping my fingers crossed that the niche market buyer comes along for you soon.

Not so true, I think. I think it's more a matter of being a rough time of year financially for most folks with the holidays at our heels.

I'm sure that also plays a part, several nice swords are floating around on various classifieds sections at very cheap prices with no takers as well. The sword market is small and is divided up into various areas of interest which further limits the market. The market is then even more limited in terms of how many folks have 1000+ dollars to plunk down on a sword. People purchasing swords at that level typically tend to be more opinionated collectors, they are very specific in what they want, therefore one would think that this sword would have a very small niche market appeal most likely to someone who is a Don Hanson collector.
