you guys ruined me

thanks to everyone here you have made my life more interesteing. i was a rat pack lurker until i decided to jump in and get my #, which is 721 btw. but you guys started a slipjoint explosion at my house. over the last few months ive acquired 16 new knives. case,schrade usa,camillius usa,buck and a bulldog sodbuster thrown in for good measure. but today i found out that im losing my job after 17 years with the same company. they said it was coming sooner but i was one of the last hanger ons. [actually lost my job once,but it only lasted 2 days] . but on this day i recv'd. in the mail my holy grail of slippies. a skoal peanut made by schrade w/2 blades. when $ start flowing again i will purchase a membership and find the equip. to post picks.
 
if you only knew how good i felt after getting this green godess today. you would have be caressing your favorite knife along with me.

Congratulations! (I'd say watch out it's a slippery slope but it sounds like you've already landed on your keister. ;))

Sorry to hear about your job, been there and know what a lousy feeling it is.

But hey, look at the bright side; you've got lots of nice knives to take fishing with the grandkids on your time off.:D When they tossed us out the door after shipping all manufactoring to Mexico, I took a couple of weeks off to de-compress and spend time doing a lot of nothing. It gave me a nice glimpse of retirement.

Then I went and got another job. (d---it!):grumpy:

Seriously, we are very excited and happy for you. We've all been there and I think all of us not only remember the feeling, but look forward to replicating it as often as possible with new acquisitions. :cool::thumbup:

(And very sorry to hear about the loss of the job. That is never easy. :()
