Primarily due to what I'v read on this forum, I ordered my first RAT today: an OD Izula.

Looking forward to this as it's my first decent fixed blade.

Now the hard part, the wait.

I heard a noise out front, maybe that's it!....No wait, I only ordered it 2 hours ago......Maybe I better go check anyway.:rolleyes:....going to be a long weekend.

By the way, I ordered it from KnivesShipFree.com. By the time you add shipping at other places, they had the best price of anyone who had them in stock. I really wanted black, but they were out. OD should be fine.

Was that the UPS truck?....no still too soon.:(

I've got to quit spending so much time on this forum. Either that or get a second job. Knives are as bad as guns: as soon as you buy one, you find two more you want.:eek:
 
Congrats !!! The Izula is a great 1st RC knife.

Last order I made with NGK I was almost doing the same thing. I knew what day it was going to arrive so every truck I could hear that day got my hopes up.

I then realized I was looking at the tracking online and smashing F5 while sitting at my desk...at home! DOH! Of course I would hear the truck but I sat there refreshing the tracking non stop anyways.
 
I too just ordered my first RAT......actually, my first two RATS. I was initially interested in the Izula and ended up finding this forum a while back looking for reviews. After seeing some of their other knives and hearing of their great customer service, I decided that the little Izula needed a companion......so I also decided on an RC-4. Ordered them two days ago.....the wait is tough.

You are doomed now. The Izula is a great knife, but aren't you going to need something bigger:D Congrats.
 
Well it got here today. As everyone says, KSF ships very fast. Couldn't ask for anything more.

This little RAT is everything I expected. Haven't really had a chance to use it, but it looks just like it should and I'm pretty sure I could shave with it if I had to.

This little fixed blade should be just right for pocket carry, but I do think I want to try wrapping the handle. I've got another post on here about pocket sheaths if anyone has anything to add about pocket carry.

Now I've got to be patient and take my time deciding which one I want next. ;)

Man, I could've done without reading that you got your knife today!!! Jealous as can be right now... I ordered my RC-6 from knivesshipfree.com on Saturday the 12th, I am losing it! There were two packages on the front porch when I got home tonight..... pins and needles.... only to see that they were my daughter's presents my wife ordered last week. How anti-climactic! Oh well, I hope I'll have it tomorrow night...
 
the Izula was my fourth RAT it was OD green from KSF sad part about that is KSF is 30 miles from my house they have no store front so I had to wait two days for it.but that was back in june.warp the handle it makes it just so much more comfy.and as for your next RAT(You are doomed)try RC-3 or RC-6 you may wind-up with more than you need.
Right now I own 6 RATs and have two hands and will be having acouple more on the way soon,some how the math seems right.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure more RATs are in my future. I'll probably get either an RC-3 or -4 next. I'm not in to the bigger knives much, but I imagine at least one is probably inevitible. Of course the HEST looks pretty interesting, and there's the rumored folder I keep reading about, and on, and on, and on......:rolleyes:
 
I love my RC-4 but I would pick the RC-3 the more I use them bolth the more I like the RC-3 it's just more functional for me,and alittle easier to carry edc.I do like the Rc-4 keydex sheath better.so I'm probably no help.
