I went to the pawnshop today and looked over at the knife case...And my heart skipped a beat.

I left the price tag on this time to show what I roughly paid in Canadian dollars.

This knife is huge! I can't wait to go camping with it.

Lucky you! In Dedmonton, pawnshops only sell gas station knives the price of Gold class Benchmades...
I got a few decent knives in Deadmonton lately at the Pawnshops. I guess I'm on a lucky streak :D I collect other stuff like vintage BMX bikes, watches, and guitars. I haven't found anything in for months in the other categories, but with knives it's like they can't wait to get rid of them as fast as possible.

No idea what it is, if it's a good price or a steal. But I like the shape/grind on it, looks neat. Enjoy it. :D:thumbsup:

D2, wow. In the 1990's these would have been a steal.

No offense OP, but there is reason these are selling in pawnshops for a fraction of their original price. You think they don't know what they're worth? Pawnshops are very good at identifying a thing's worth. If a Dozier is selling for $100 at a pawnshop, that should tell you something about Doziers.

Uhhhhhh, quite frankly, I'm laughing my ass off at your cluelessness.

OP, go buy a lotto ticket. Buy all the Doziers you can, and if you're feeling generous, I'd gladly pay you double for any you find at those prices.

^ Wouldn't it be easier and a bit more classy just to admit that you're envious?

Congrats!
It happens rarely but when it does it feels great! I recently found a hard to find vintage board game for 5€ that you normally pay 100€+ for.

You are more wrong than a wrong thing from Planet Wrong.
Dozier is the master of D2 and his knives are of most excellent quality.

That's one heck of a score, Congrats. It looks like a fighter/combat designed type knife and a heavy duty one at that. It's a beauty that's for sure.

Still a steal... There IS a reason for that price at a pawn shop.... they want it gone...

I guess you could equate the this price with overall interest in Dozier knives. I don't. I have not tried to buy one directly and generally buy them at the Blade Show from Bob. But they are booked up on orders. So, I guess somebody still values a Dozier made knife.

Hell of a find at a pawn shop at that pice. Congrats!

Congratulations man!!!!! Looks like the pawn shop should have done their homework. Or they did their homework but couldn’t sell it for what they usually go for. Either way, a nice find for you. A pawn shop in my area had a well used Benchmade 710 that looked as if the previous owner tried to clean the blade with sandpaper priced higher than your Dozier.
