So I am starting to look into some high end production knives and two have stuck out so far to me.

The Manual- Microtech Selectfire

and the Manual- Protech tr-3.

I was leaning towards the protech but then i found out that microtechs hq is in NC so that made me second guess myself and start getting attached to the Selectfire.

So now im thinking Selectfire. Does anyone have any reason why not to get the selectfire over the manual tr3? Disablement excluded.

Does any here have either one of these knives or any feed back on them?

Microtech has developed a reputation for not taking care of customer problems.
Pro-Tech knives are more my style The Manual TR-3 itself was a favorite of mine.

I would go with just about anything other than a Microtech. I have three Protech Integrities so I must admit that I am partial to them.

I would take a Protech over any Microtech knife. Microtech are a company one would not want to be involved with for a number of reasons.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I knew that protech was a good company but had no idea of microtechs issues. Actually even though I want a protech it looks like im about to be able to snag a new bali so i have to wait to see how it plays out

I was going to say Protech as well, but since your heading to bali territory, I'm out. :D
