...or at least that was pretty much the feeling when I opened the box tonight and pulled out my first two Beckers, a Micarta handled BK-2 and a stock BK-9, both with custom kydex sheaths which I picked up from a member of the Australian equivalent of this forum.

I actually, literally, laughed out loud a little when I pulled the 9 from its sheath. What an astonishing piece of kit.

The guy I bought them from still has a BK-7 available, also with custom sheath and I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on that one as well. Oh, and then there's the BK-11 I ordered through a local online dealer this afternoon.

And of course, because it never happened if there are no pictures to prove it:

Welcome to the forum :). Looks like you already got the hang of things, I mean, you're first post has photos, thats pretty good.

That means you avoided the imminent threat of moose coming to leave moose tracks on your yard.

The 2 and 9 are great, and the 7 is pretty high up on my "next to buy list". The best part is that you really can't go wrong with any of them, as they're all great :).

Do you get laughed at in Australia for carrying such small knives?

Naw, the 9 is just his backup blade. The 2 is for shaving :D

Makes me think of combining that BK2 folder thread with a Fosters ad: BK2 folder... Australian for pocket knife

O,

Buy that #7 !!

I had never even handled one before I bought it. I own every currently made Becker model and IMHO, it's the best large Becker for all around use.

Not too big or heavy for belt carry and there is in nothing that it cannot do which you would reasonably ask of a knife

I feel it's a better knife than a USMC Kabar and that is saying a lot.

Awww, pics aren't working for me right now. :( Welcome to the Becker family though. I'm jealous of your 9. I'm looking forward to finishing out my current knife purchases so I can get my savings going for a 9. Or maybe see if I can win one. :)
