Now you should test if it can stab through a leather biker jacket and cardboard at the same time.

That is very amazing though. Makes me proud to own a few Spydies.
 
My Vesuvius opened up in the washing machine and it really did a number on two pairs of pants.
 
Thanks, that was awesome. I would have used a hair dryer on hot for awhile if at home - try & free it w/o hitting it....that said...:eek::D

PS I thought Sage myself...but it's the story that counts!! Although CF wouldn't melt easily I don't recall what the handle of the Caly 3 is made of.

That's definitely a Sage. Look at the open pillar back. The Caly3 is a lockback. That story is quite impressive. Says alot for the liner lock and the Taiwanese construction of these knives.
 
That's pretty cool, but can it chop a deck of cards or stab through a car hood?
 
That's off the charts! Makes me think about these people saying the Sages aren't that tough. You don't always need the knife design to be very thick or bulky to be tough.

By any means, I'm not trying to put down the knife or the company, but... I'm an appliance technician by trade and those motors are pretty weak. I've seen #2 pencils and BiC pens cause the same result. Sorry, but I'm not very impressed...
That picture tells a LOT about the sharpness of the knife, but nothing about the lock strength.

Aww, buzzkill! :p

But that is quite impressive that it did manage to go through the plastic. I have no idea how strong the dryer motor is myself, but at least now I know my sage can stop a dryer. Reminds me of the stuff that coldsteel makes their knives do in the promos.
