i have been on the forums for along time and before i would always go to knife exchange--general or community but now the first place i end up is HI Imports--dam i got it bad--maybe one more will make me feel better or two--just like a drug you just gota have more-lol
but on a more serious side just want ot thank all of my new HI friends for such a great welcome you all have given me--i have found the best place in the forums  :)

We're not at all sorry.

Part of the problem is the variety
few two are the same
especially these days

There are those
who only buy what they use

Strange world

:D

One of the best solutions I know
is to buy the best -one- you can afford
then the 'lesser' ones don't have quite the attraction

They are beautiful
among other qualities

Yiterp,

HIKV is an entirely avoidable infection. You just need to purchase at least 10 t0 15 Khukuries in you first month. After that, economics and the "better half" steps in to limit the ravages.

Of course, trading has been my particular downfall, and my sword collectiion isn't much any more.

And Daniel Kostner is still selling his YCS at the exchange... :D

Good to have you here, yiterp; I think you fit in just fine :D Just remember not to take anything too seriously when folks start talking about a "cure" for HIKV. They're just trying to make you feel better. The sad truth of the matter is that no cure exists, and even the hope of finding one at some point in the future is incredibly slim. The world's greatest virologists have been working on the problem for years with little or no progress. And contrary to what you may read in the Cantina, buying more khukuris has never been proven to offer more than temporary relief from HIKV. The symptoms will invariably return, often worse than they were before the purchase, so beware.

My better half has proven to be an effective short term vaccine. HIKV is not fatal, the dear wife is another matter!

my wife says NO MORE KOOKRIS (as she spells them). Then I explain that I have this disease. She says "why?" and I say "because that's what I do, I collect things."

How can I explain it otherwise? Do I NEED another khukri? HA! But then again, if we only get what we NEED, we'd live in a cardboard box, wouldn't we? Life is a question of want, not need. And I never made myself love these khukris, it just happened. I am a victim of the disease, and I deserve sympathy and understanding

...when you have khukuris stashed everywhere, like an alcoholic hides bottles.

One in the trailer- one in the car- one under the bed (of course!)- one in the kitchen- no matter where I am, it's within arms reach of a khukuri...

Like I'm expecting an attack from Yetis, snow leopards, or Maoists...

Wait- there's no khuk in the bathroom... maybe can use a JKM as a toilet paper holder...

Ad Astra

I knew that I had a problem when I would come here and check for sales before I would check my work email first thing in the morning. You sent me a work request by email? :D :p

Danit, quite tormenting me... I hate seeing a YCS go unloved. With Dan's sharpening, that will be a beast of a knife! Hmm I do need a graduation present coming up...

Damn, I know! And I have to keep some $ out for the Foxes Folly project. I have no knife problems about $8K wouldn't solve...
