Thats crazy, it shows you use your knife a lot.

That, or, you dont change your pants often! Im just kidding. My jeans have started fraying at that spot and in a few pairs the smaller pocket right above has begun tearing.

I bought some of those denim patches at wallymart and just ironed them in place....should have gotten the dark colored denim though. :o Seem to be working ok, so far.

I tried that, but it really adds to the thickness. Makes the clip grab on too tight. Do you have to adjust all your clips?

I just ironed the crap out of it, no problems with the Millie or 0560 so far, but it's only been a couple of days since I put this on though. Unfortunately, I think that I may have put it on a little late though because the very edge of the pocket, by the seam, had just started coming loose. Time will tell if it will work out after more use.

I usually buy the $9 Walmart special jeans so I'll just pick up a few more pairs haha. I have to buy cheap because I'm pretty hard on jeans

I get a little frayin' there, but no big deal. I tend to blow the crotch out on my pants more often than anything else. Can't help it though, it runs in the family.

I take mine to a local seamtress who reenforces mine with similar denim and lots of cross stitching. I might look at a small, supple leather overlay on one pair to see how that looks and holds up too. But for now I visit the seamtress about once a year for each pair of jeans I have that start to look like the OP's . . .

I used to have pocket seams wear out, but then I started using a loose clip and I dremel off any rough corners (almost always thumb jimping with tip down carry).
My standard clip setting has the clip lifted off the scale just enough that you can lightly tap it with your finger and hear it hit the scale.

It also helps if your pants never last more than a year. I like to buy half a dozen at a time and stock up less often. They almost always fail at the crotch or thigh... thankfully it's been thigh more than crotch lately.
