Cheap shipping.

I mean really. When I'm ordering a few items that barely make 15.00 total, and then they want to put 8.00 shipping on top...really? It's just, not, worth it. There is a couple places that give you the option of First Class Mail and less than 3.00 or so, THAT I can live with. Kudos to those who offer that as an option. Because sometimes, I can't drop 50.00 without the wife noticing. ;)

I hear ya. I used to buy my paintball/tactical stuff from Opsgear.com, Order over a hundred bucks (which is pretty much a given) and free shipping, even to Canada! Another airsoft/paintball site in Hong Kong included free international shipping on EVERYTHING! Recently though, I've been buying my knives online, namely Knifecenter, and shipping to Canada was like 40 bucks! WTF?! I ended up signing up for a PO box across the border in Washington, and order all my stuff to there. Shipping costs me about 6 bucks, 9 if I want priority mail. Only problem is I always feel awkward coming back and having the border guard ask me what the package is that I'm picking up. Saying "Knives" just makes me feel like a search is coming lol. Last time the border guard gave me a tip about LAPoliceGear.com, which I hadnt heard of before though. Also gives me a chance to stock up on Cherry Coke, and all the Arizona IceTea flavors we dont get up here (mmm Mango).

I know a couple of Canadian sites to get Becker knives and such on the cheap. Not the greatest selection like tomars, but shipping's cheap, and they're good people. Also you don't have to deal with those crooks at customs. rosecity88@gmail.com send me a thing if you're interested.

On topic: Cheap shipping is a major plus, but when I see free shipping after 100, I get all giddy.

Yep.... but you know what makes me even happier? FREE shipping. That's a really big incentive for me especially when the vendor's price is already lower than everybody else's. What I really hate are vendors who sneak a cheap shot by charging $10+ on shipping when you know for a fact that's now how much it costs them.

Yeah, I just renewed my membership to Amazon prime. And while it's pretty steep, I think I definitely get my money's worth. I recently bought my first sharpening stone (a cheapie, to fix up old kitchen knives) and a Mora. Both were Prime, and so both shipped free, two day.
