Your pants pocket looks like this...

Thought I would share some pictures. Spyderco Manix 2 translucent blue. Mainly cutting zip ties and plastic tubing, but getting dirty doing so.

Please share pictures of your work knives.

I put some shorts on that I packed (working out of town) and felt something in the pocket... I have a dedicated food knife now so that I don't have to worry about getting the work knife completely clean.

Not the tastiest meal or salsa, but can't do much better with just a microwave in the hotel room.

When the knife doesn't work right until you clean it in a sink.

When you clean it in an ultrasonic cleaner because the sink ain't cutting it anymore. Or your have to disassemble it to clean it.

Or when you have to sharpen up the knife several times before the job is done.

When you cut aluminum fence with it...

...or open up few bags of concrete and cut the grass plugs for the holes of your son's fence... :D

It is also good for much finer jobs, as opening up paint cans:

The funny thing is, the blade does not have any play, I never open this knife to clean it nor tight the pivot screw, it's amazing knife, I absolutely love it.
It gets occasional blow of air with compressor, few drops of oil where it needs it and of course - regular touching up of the edge, it's always razor sharp.

You know your knife got a workout when you make other forum members cringe at what you did to YOUR knife.

:D... I would never imagine that this knife is such amazing thing to be honest with you... As I mentioned before: Damascusblade added it to another knife that I purchase from him and I thought "Great, I'll have a Bench that I'll kill and will send back to see how they'll fix it" Well... good luck to me with this... I was using it extensively for jobs like the fence that I built for my son's place, cutting cardboards is just an everyday thing... Below are two pictures, I didn't have the knife on the first-one because didn't think about it when I took it, and on the second I couldn't find it for the moment, but if you look at the first-one: I had to replace a flexible drain pipe on something I built few years back, it's visible on the first picture, we cleared the concrete, took the rest of the pipe, but the one that was covered with concrete was very hard to take off... Thanks to this knife I was able to cut a line and pill and pray the rest of the plastic, then we installed the new pipe, The blade had some scratches but after I cleaned it at home, and touched up the edge, it was GTG, it's an amazing knife. What shocks me the most is the absolute absence of blade play even after all the idiotic things I do with it...
This knife doesn't go anywhere, I'll never sell it (not like I ever sell the rest of my knives but...)

This is the blade ( crappy pix ) just after I finished painting my friend's motor covers, you can still see the deep scratches from the concrete ( the job before the painting):

The fence is what made me cringe, and the prying with the paint can almost but it's a tanto so it's not very cringe worthy. I have knives I bet the paint can would have snapped the tips off and I don't think could have have done that to a fence without wrecking the blade as I prefer my thinner blades.

Oh look, I'm not the only one who is 'abusive' with their tools :D

Nice pics!
