...She acknowledges your love for full tang knives. Today my fiance and her parents and I went to a winery to try out some of their stuff. Had a good time and enjoyed what we tasted. We even bought a bottle and just drank it in one of their lofts there. Very cool place in Lancaster, PA. We were given some cheese and a knife to cut it. At the end of our time there my fiance looked at the knife and said, "Hey, this is like the ones you like, it's 'full' something..." Me, knowing what she was getting at and so very proud, egged her on, "it's an acidic-like drink similar to Kool Aid!" Response:
"Oh yeah, you love the full tang!"
I was so very proud of her :D I also loved that the other day she had me send her a list of a few things that I wanted, not needed. The BK9 and BK11 were on the top of the list. She just smiled when I told her. She is getting it!!! Becker is appearing on her radar! Next thing you know she is going to be asking me whether or not a knife ending in "77" would interest me! Heck yes! ;)
I just thought you all would appreciate these moments, I know I did. It always makes a difference when the love of your life better understands some of the odd obsessions you have :)

yeah, a 5 for the kitchen and a 11 or 14 for camping, maybe duracoated pink (insert her favorite color here)?

The next step here is getting her to appreciate the quality of tool that you enjoy using.

Got my wife a new chefs knife right around when I started getting "into" knives almost a year ago now. Went to her families place for the holidays and she started complaining about her parents knives (wouldn't cut a tomato without some "squish") and saying how I spoiled her :).

And yesterday she got her first SAK, so we'll see where it goes from here :).

Congrats man!

We do a lot of stuff in eastern PA. I'll have to look into getting her a 5 for kitchen work. I was at her house the other day and could not find a good knife for cutting up some chicken to prep for dinner so maybe this could solve it all!

Been with my wife 17 years. She gave up on me long ago.

Her term of endearment for me these days is "damn hard headed man"

OP - God bless your fiance brother! There should be more women like her. My wife supports and encourages my steel habit when the budget allows. She of course dictates exactly when the budget allows, but that's how we roll around here. Best to keep Momma happy! ;)

My wife encourages my knife lust. She loves the outdoors and is a junky when it comes to making/finding tinder and kindling. But she grew up in a hunting family that works in construction and carpentry. Plus she is a cosmetologist and salon owner. So she knows that skills plus quality tools is a key to success.

She also keeps a running list of knives and tools I want. Always asking what I am "craving" now.
The BK15 is next on the list of knives she wants. She said "Its cute and I can kill with it". Yup, that's sexy.

get her a BK5 and a BK15 and bob's your uncle
