When I used to play professional paintball I got so tired of hearing "Ping Pong?" and "Pin Ball?!"

Now - when I tell people what I am doing that night - I get tired of hearing "Leather SHEETS?"

Yup... I am making some HUGE 8 ounce leather sheets. :/

Anyone else get this one? Or anything else...

Tal, in Polish the word "sheath" has double meaning. One is for cover for a blade, knife etc. The other is for ....vagina. Now, keeping that in mind imagine how those sentences sound in Polish
"I'm working with sheaths"
"Tight sheath gives better friction"
"Wet molding sheaths"
"Rubbing some bex wax inside the sheath"

So, yes I get that a lot - "You make what ?!" :)

That beats skinning a beaver....;)

I get that all the time. Especially when writing shipment customs forms, and the person behind the counter has no clue what a sheath is. So now I just write in "Leather Knife Case".

...i always though it`s my accent when people give me that weird look...so i just say holsters for knives

I noticed on another forum where there seemed to be several Scandinavian members, they spelled it as "sheats".....so I always figured that's how the pronounced it.....didn't pay it no mind.
