Not even a week since I bought my first Becker and now I've just ordered a BK16. I can see that this is going to be the beginning of an addiction. Is there some sort of twelve step program or something? And don't tell me that step three is to order the BK4. I'm already planning on that.

Headed for the poor house with a smile on my face,

The magic crystal ball says the 4 is in your future, welp Ivarr looks like you're getting a 4 :p.

My self prediction is that, if I buy the 4, my lovely wife will claim it as her own and tell me to go pound sand.

Think of it this way; a good knife will last longer than most friendships, some marriages and many jobs. So, for the price of a few mocha lattes you get something you can count on for the next 50 years or more. Plus you get to hang out here with knife loving degenerates like us who will do everything we can to convince you that your addiction isn't so much a problem as it is an opportunity to explore a new world. A world where sharp and pointy things are your friends and money is just a means to acquiring more and better friends.

Two 4s are better than one. That's a hell of a blade if I do say so myself. Ive got mine affixed to the side of my pack right now.

Well, she's already put up with me for over 20 years and been married to me for fourteen so I think she's a keeper. Besides, she has a custom knife that I drool over. A layered steel knife with a carved wood and bone hilt from Norway. It's gorgeous. Maybe she'll trade...nah!

SHE has a custom?!
She's a keeper, post pictures of it!

I think it's more than a 12 step program. Cause there are more than 12 Becker models. And you're gonna have a while chasing down some of the rare ones, and you'll probably have to pick up duplicates of your favorites while you wait. Got a 9 yet? Saving up for the return of the RBK?

I decided to pst the pictures here instead of a new thread. This is not a Becker knife and probably should not start a thread in this forum for a knife that is not a Becker.

I know. And to make it even worse, it belongs to my wife. We're in the SCA and that is her belt knife for events. I get to admire the knife but I don't get to use it.

On the other hand my brand new BK16 arrived today. I'm trying to decide if I should strip it or not.

money? it's not like you can't buy a dozen Beckers for reasonable money

just give up some bad filthy habits, maybe only see your favorite stripper once a month instead of 3-4x a week, you're just an ATM to her ;) Becker steel love you long time
