Well I don't own one but I will at some point. It looks like it could end up my favorite spyderco ever and I've been eyeing it since before it came out.

Would those early adopters please post some awesome pictures and maybe give your thoughts? Haven't seen much yet. Thanks!!

I like it very much. The Italians can build excellent quality knives and they did that here. There's a lot of blade packed into that handle. The point of this knife is very fine and I wouldn't carry as a work knife. It's got to be one of the smoothest openers out there. Mine could have came sharper though.

Are the tip dimensions similar to PM2? I broke the tip off my pm2 when it slipped off a ziptie.

I don't know I've never owned one. I probably wouldn't use it on zip ties unless I had to in a pinch. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Be careful closing with one hand the bade falls shut.

Sounds like maybe a great self defense knife then. But being a highly popular knife in Sardinia I would assume they use them for many tasks. Of course this is just spydercos take on a Pattada but I imagine theirs is even stronger than the traditional using updated modern materials.

The thing is sheepherders don't cut many zip ties. More likely to slice sausage, cheese and fruit for lunch and cut the balls off a goat.

Great point. Sardinians live an agricultural lifestyle where that shape of knife is conducive to the needs of its people for many hundreds of years.
