And it is a nice way to keep knives and not have to put more money into the pot to buy them. At least my wife likes it this way! :D

Just sold a couple of Smith's here at BF and had to replace them. I picked up one of the replacements today, a knife that I can use without fear of marring it up......a Benchmade 806D2. Have a 2nd knife coming in tomorrows mail from Gary at Moore Cutlery....another Hinderer Firetac Extreme, this time with a tanto style blade.

Like the title says...you sell, you buy!! :D :D :D

Just to remind you guys -- what Art sells, he's tuned up to be in better shape than when he bought! :D

I often think I just rent stuff, Knives, watches...You know how it is :)
Turn it over to try out some new stuff.

I don't know how you guys do it, it takes me so long to get the knives that I want that by the time I get them you couldn't pry them out of my hands. I got into some financial troubles back after 9/11/01 and thought I would have to sell off part of my collection. Luckily my wife said that things weren't that bad and I didn't need to....phewwwww.

Some of the customs I put on hold back then I received last year, and some I'm still waiting on. My taste in knives hasn't changed, I still want the same knives. Why would I ever sell them once I got them?

Once I figured what I had spent, I blew my own mind. So, I set about moving out knives I did not seem to be carrying to make way for more incoming blades. Once in a while, I go through my photo collection to see what has passed through my hands and I am stunned. Some of the hard to get knives became safe queens - I was afraid to carry them and mar them up, so once I got them I eventually sold them off. I guess the pleasure was in the hunt. I know many hear have great and vast collections. I'm not rich, so I have to keep just a certain amount put into my knife Knuttiness.
