Hot diggity dagger is no longer available from the scrapyard site. 40 bucks for a great little dagger,, I guess I though it would be around longer!
Makes me think though, what will be the next offering on the site of any of the three companies?
 
Dang! I was gonna grab another one! Luckily I picked one up from the exchange, but I wanted to get at least one more!

A lot of Scrapyard stuff is going away. I missed out on the 1111....Better go ahead and order a 511 while I can!

It's interesting that it seems like relative few 1111s are for sale in the exchange compared to the 1311. I definitely recommend getting a 511 - I find it to be a very handy size with great ergonomics and a really good value!
 
I saw that the 1111 was sold out. I was lucky enough to get one awhile back, but I wanted a second. Hopefully it's not discontinued and if it is I wish a warning email or post was done.
Might have to go for a safety mutt while their still up ! I love my Mudd Mutts !! Great blade !!
Maybe we will see a safety 1111, safety dagger or safety scrapivore ???
 
The scrapyard blades are an INSANE value. I will be a fan for as long as they are around.

I was lucky enough to score a 711 before they were sold out. That blade HOLDS AN EDGE. Its in the trunk of my car as we speak.
 
Dang I was just talking about these with some friends a couple weeks ago. I snoozed.
 
Maybe a lot of people (like me!) bought multiples of the 1311 knowing that it was very limited with respect to time available. I still have two that are unused. After getting both, I preferred the 1311.

aannnddd now EVERY knife on the site is Sold Out!!!! Hope this means there are some new offerings from the Yard on the way.

or there will be a huge merger and everything will be available under "The Busse Swamp Yard"

I like to think that max grade will apply to the yard... New is always better.....

I managed to get one and a scrapavore ....I feel lucky now....I bet there will be a few at knob creek.

Very strange!!!! I should've grabbed that Safety Mutt when I had a chance.

I wonder if this is the two weeks scare Jerry put out there about three weeks ago??
 
Dan posted on the board a couple weeks ago that they were going back to a limited offering business plan as opposed to always available knives.

..... nope, Dan did a "sip and talk" with the yard a week or two ago and they are going back to the "Old Yard Model" where a single blade is put up for order for a limited time then taken down and made. It was only with the advent of the 511 that they had "permanent" offerings on the website. There is a new blade on the way that is made from 5160 done with the Busse heat treatment. Not sure what it will be yet (we are still playing a guessing game based on Dan's hints) but it will use one of the existing ResC handle styles (11 series, Mudder or Regulator) and be a "larger" blade (*I* think).

Dagnabbit....I got myself a 511 after I saw Dan's announcement. I was thinking about picking myself up a 411 as well, but missed that one. :mad:

Oh well....looking forward to the next offering.
 
Andy is right; Dan Busse posted that Scrap Yard is returning to its beginning model. I believe that the 5160 steel is some of what Jerry bought when Camillus went under, and with the Busse heat-treat it should be terrific. I am very happy that Scrap Yard is returning to its roots, and I look forward to the next offering!;):thumbup::thumbup:
