Thanks to all the folks who have put their faith in the Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5 ! Thanks for the warm reception of the knife.
Thanks to Will Fennell and others on the Camillus team who had faith in this knife.

great knife. comes with a great edge, good steel. solid lock up,and boy is it PURTY!

only complaint is that my other knives seem too small now.

ey ddr, howzabout an auto conversion? ;)

Darrel,
I've wanted one of your custom mades for some time now. I keep saving hoping to get enough to buy one. Until then the Cuda MAXX 5.5 is the fix for me.:D This thing is Rock solid in every way. I have never had a knife to have so many color changes. This thing keeps getting purtier and purtier as time goes. Anyway, Thanks DDR, Will, and Camillus for an awsome knife.:D I still smile every time I look at this thing.:D

Thanks Dean

Bravo folks, well done.

I've been smiling all day thanks to you guys. Thanks Will and Darrel :D

The Cuda Maxx 5.5 is whole lotta knife for the money , literally and figuratively. Thanks to Darrel,Will and Camillus for producing such a great knife.

What else can I say that ain't already been said. Thank you Darrel, Will, and Camillus!

I still don't know how you were able to bring such a great piece out, with all the bells and whistles i.e. titanium frame and D-2 steel, for such a low price. I mean this is almost a custom knife, at a fraction of the cost! OUTSTANDING JOB!!!:D  :D

Wha waa! I'm eagerly awaiting receiving mine. The place I'm receiving mine from told me they were due to receive them on the 18th of this month, then they'll drop ship to me. I can't wait. Listening to you guys go on about them is like someone throwing gasoline on a fire regarding my anticipation. :D

This is absolutely one of, if not the best, collaberations I've seen. Now, I think it would be just grand, for me, if Mr. Ralph and Camillus would do an apogee collaboration with titanium and D-2.
I know, we're never satisfied. We always want more. In all seriousness though, custom/production collaborations are the only way someone in my economic status can realisically own such great knives. For that, I offer everyone on the team my sincerest thanks.

Hey Nobody, I see your a N.C. boy. How bout them 'Heels!:D

I just couldn't resist............its a disease:eek: ;) :D

Anyway, you will be one happy camper when that Cuda MAXX rolls in! From the looks of things on this forum and others it looks like a lot of Cuda Maxx's are headed for the Carolina's...................Ahh, ain't nothing finer than to be in Carolina, in the morning, noon, or night!

Just thought I would throw that in........free of charge!:D :D :D

Excellent design; excellent manufacturing; excellent materials; excellent price; ergo--excellent knife.

What can I say but "Do it again, do it again!" (ti Apogee with talonite or D2 blade options). My money awaits. :D

No plans to get a Cuda Maxx right now since I recently got the Mini Mad Max. :D

artsig1, did we meet at the Raleigh Gun and Knife Show a little over a year ago? I don't recall. I met Dex and NCblades and a few others back then for the first time. Met a few more of us tar heels (like Senator) at the SECKS last September. Great folks, just too many of 'em to keep their names straight.

Anyway, yep, I'm looking forward to the getting my Cuda Maxx. Don't know if it's particularly legal here in NC to carry as a "pocket knife", but that's another matter entirely... :D

I got a Camillus CUDA Maxx on Sunday and a Darrel Ralph Mini-Maxx on the following Tuesday. It was quite a week! :D

My Mini-Maxx is exactly what I wanted. It has a spearpoint recurve blade in Talonite. That makes it perfect for my "personal survival" knife.

On the other hand, I prefer a larger knife for defensive use, and I live in Texas where I'm allowed up to a 5.5" blade. I have been carrying a REKAT Sifu, but the CUDA Maxx has replaced it as my favorite defensive carry.

I would hate to be without either Maxx!

am a 2 maxx man now too, got it today(ordered mon AM, got it this AM, thanks UPS!! and at $139.95, what a deal!!), the cuda, a heckuva a lot of knife for the $$, and those handles are COOL, the windex trick works........was suprised the cuda is thinner (by a lot, 30% i bet) than my mini maxx - i guess cuz my mini has CF handles vs straight ti?? anyway it is slimmer than the mini, both are GREAT knives, now i'm gonna have to have a DDR maxx, full size, darn you cammilus!! my sifu goes in the safe too, this thing (cuda) rocks!!

I received my CUDA MAXX last Wednesday. It is by far the best production folder on the market right now at this price point, at least in my opinion. I'm still amazed at the materials used and that they got this close to the custom for under 200 bucks. I've missed my large spearpoint for over a year (I hope you're enjoying it David Baker) but am now pacified with the CUDA MAXX.

BTW, the Tarheels suck. ;) Go 'Hoos...yeah Virginia sucks too.

I suspect you are right about that. My Mini-Maxx has anodized titanium grips and it looks to be the same thickness as the CUDA Maxx.
