Well i get my first root canal tomorrow, i am not looking forward to it. these last few weeks the tooth has been giving me a hard time. has felt like some one smacked me on the side of the head with a 2x4. i have not been in the best of moods because of always being in sever pain and being on vicodin. just been a sucky week. but i guess the good thing is that my dental insurance coverer's everything except 280 bucks. and thats for the everything even the cap. so i guess i cant complain. its just tooth pain is one of the worst there is. man how did thy deal with it back in the day with out fancy dentists.
 
I procrastinated on a bum wisdom tooth many years ago. It got abcessed. I'll spare you the story, but DON"T MESS AROUND with infections whether in your mouth or otherwise. Since you're already getting treatment I guess you don't need the rant. Take care.
 
I just had one pulled,back in Sept.(no insurance) 127.00 just to have a tooth pulled.

My wife's Great Grandfather,was known here as the communty dentist.A few years ago we were cleaning out an old dairy barn,that was to be torn down,we found an old wooden box that had a few pairs of tooth pulling pliers,and several old bottles of Novacain(i'm sure that's not how it's spelled),of course I doubt there were any
root canal's done in those days.

Good luck with yours,my wife had one,about 25 years ago,it was a nightmare.She wound up having it pulled anyway.

Better take care of what you have or you may be purchasing a set of these. And if you do just lay your wallet on their cash register and walk away. Hope you get feeling better. I know I did when all my top teeth was pulled. :yawn:

Root cannals suck, but it's well worth it. I have one root canal that is 30 years old and the tooth is still able to chew well. Only one of the 3 root canal jobs didn't work out, and the tooth had to be yanked after two years when it fell apart, while chewing bacon for breakfast out at the camp.

Take care of your teeth, nothing compares to the originals.
 
well its done and i have a temporary cap. it still hurts but feels better. man it does not smell good when there drilling the tooth out.
