Only had a chance to play with it for a little while, it's all dirty now and I already hit a rock... woops.

Not going to sharpen it until its beaten half to death, then it's ghetto satin time.

Played with the knife a little bit more today. It's not the best chopper, but i'd class it with an FSH as far as chopping is concerned. It actually batons very well for its thickness as well.

I will say, the coating smooths almost instantly! I'm excited, it'll give me an excuse to give it the horndog treatment!

Yup, my new NMFBM will be here tomorrow, then this weekend chop off, I know who will be the winner, but it'll still be fun.

Zero convexed like HD's and I think it will improve a fair old bit on chopping .... it does have that nice blade heavy feel to it which usually means when convexed it comes on quite well.

Just don't go too hard on your BWM she's kind of skinny compared to the heavy weight NMFBM.
I think the BWM is kind of built for speed and the NMFBM is like a mack truck.

I know once I strip/convex it it's performance will increase, the blade screams for a convex edge.

Out of the box is the performance is a tiny bit underwhelming in the chopping dept, but it's really a quick fix. I can tell by how this knife handles it will actually make a good chopper, even for its weight with a tiny bit of work.

A naked Mistress is the best kind. ;)

BIG +1 there!!!! ;)

ALL of my little sweet-hearts are best appreciated "NAKED" !!!!! ;)

But, seriously, IMO, one of the JOYS IN LIFE is appreciation and enjoyment of things of "beauty" - whether nature, works of art (MANY types - knives, paintings, sculptures, architecture, furniture, cars, motorcycles, tools, guns, gadgets, movies, music, crystal, etc.) or the fairer beauties. ;) - How are ANY of these things enjoyable if covered?

Short of intentially "NEEDING" to conceal or camouflage a knife (in some combat - maybe?), I will never understand the appeal of coated knifes????....It is like putting an "abaya" on something that is easier (hopefully) to appreciate without the coating.

Clearly, an abaya is intended to "Prevent" appreciation of what is underneath. Or similar coverings known by other names and used throughout history in various cultures by many other religions - including nuns to a similar degree, etc. - So, I am NOT trying to make this political or religious arguement or issue - just sharing my view - on appreciation vs. "prevention" of appreciation.

But, for reference:

http://pp.b5z.net/i/u/215960/i/abaya45.jpg

I get that certain coatings might have a purpose. And maybe that purpose is to "Avoid" being appreciated. But, that purpose - regardless of application has no appeal to me - if preventing beauty from being appreciated.

If others want to cover up "whatever" to NOT be able to appreciate beauty.... or if they just feel the need to hide whatever is underneath the coverings for various other reasons....... Obviously, many like to cover up beauty with coatings to hide the beauty for various reasons - mostly (apparently) based on fear of others coveting their "possessions". - But, at a cost of not being able to appreciate for ones own enjoyment. .....to each their own.

Granted, some less than appealing things are better coated - maybe even "NEED" to be coated to be improved. :( But, those things don't tend to be of as much interest to me anyway.

Anyway, I don't know if I will ever understand the appreciation of "coatings and coverings". :(

Great looking Blade, and sheath:thumbup:

Its will never be a chopper like the large thicker Busse's, but was not meant to be. What it will blow the fattys away at is when you need speed, and alot of whip in your stroke. Stuff such as trail clearing of vines, and other thick vegetation like may be found in a rain forrest for example, or here in the very thick(in vegetation) deep south.

Well, we all know that....but I'm just feeling a bit sorry for THAT knife for some reason:p
